National Credit Group (TNCG)
The National Credit Group (TNCG) was established in 1978 by five Melbourne-based credit managers seeking an alternative to the credit bureau with which they were previously affiliated. Their founding objectives centred on ensuring member integrity and facilitating meaningful managerial dialogue—core values that continue to define the organization.
In 1983, TNCG expanded its operations to Sydney, marking the beginning of its national presence. Today, the organization encompasses members across Australia, reflecting steady growth and a commitment to fostering excellence in credit management.
Membership
TNCG’s membership is composed of companies that supply goods and services in the commercial and consumer sectors, including grocery chains, pharmacies, electrical retailers, stationers, and food service providers.
A rigorous vetting process ensures that members uphold the group’s high standards of professionalism and integrity. Membership applications are reviewed and approved collectively by existing members, further reinforcing the organization’s commitment to quality and trust.
Meetings and Events
TNCG maintains an active schedule of events designed to promote collaboration, professional development, and industry insight among its members.
Regular Meetings
The group holds nine meetings annually, alternating between Melbourne and Sydney to accommodate its members.
· Melbourne meetings: March, May, July, September, and November.

Annual Conference
The highlight of TNCG’s calendar is its two-day Annual Conference, traditionally held in February in Albury. This event serves as a premier platform for networking, professional growth, and discussions on legislative and industry trends in both commercial and consumer credit, providing members with valuable tools to adapt to the evolving credit landscape.
Strategic Relationships
TNCG has cultivated strategic partnerships with major retailers and service. These collaborations foster a mutually beneficial exchange of insights and updates, enabling TNCG members to stay informed about key developments in the retail sector while strengthening their industry relationships.
